While there have already been reports that Microsoft’s upcoming flagships, dubbed Lumia 940 and Lumia 940XL, will be unveiled in the month of October, looks like now we have a possible launch date for the devices.
According to a report from NPU, the handsets will be unveiled on October 19 in New York. Not only this, the report also says that the Surface Pro 4 tablet as well as a new Microsoft Band could also be introduced at the same event alongside the flagships, something which is in-line with what we’ve already heard before.
For those who aren’t already aware, the flagship devices were earlier said to be named Lumia 950 and 950XL, but recent reports have suggested that they’ll be dubbed Lumia 940 and 940XL instead. Needless to say, none of this has been officially confirmed by the company, so take it with a pinch of salt.
According to reports from August 20, Microsoft may be gearing up to announce the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL during October, alongside other Windows 10 devices, including the Surface 4. The rumour also suggest a wearable dubbed the Band 2 and a “mini” Xbox One!
Things start to get a bit overzealous with suggestions that as well as the flagship model there may be a selection of mid and low-end devices including a Lumia 550, 750 and 850.
Microsoft Lumia 940 and 940XL supposed launch of Microsofts’ new Windows 10 phones thought to be not too far away, it’s not that surprising we’re now seeing a leak showing what the handsets will look like. What is pretty cool though, is seeing what appear to be full-blown official product photos and press images.
